As a man who consistently tells the story of how he had to walk uphill to school both ways with no shoes on, it's hard to believe that Frank Creatura has become the scion of style for the gentleman of Toronto and the GTA for nearly 40 years, but he has done just that.
An Italian immigrant and the youngest of 10, Frank came to Toronto in the early 70's with little more than a rocking hairstyle, a solid work ethic and an eye for dressing (70's fashion faux pas' excluded). Starting with Casini on St. Clair in 1973, Frank quickly garnered a reputation as a knowledgeable and gregarious proprietor, as likely to recommend a good suit as to invite you for dinner.
Many years and a few incarnations of Testa Uomo later, this reputation is now set in Italianate marble. From hosting World Cup parties in-store to dressing some of Toronto's most influential people (and still inviting them for dinner) Frank Creatura is the epitome of warm, old-world service and a wealth of knowledge hardly seen in today's menswear market.
